    Fear wasn’t lost on you. In fact it was something you lived with everyday. Being quirkless while also being a pro hero tended to do that to you. Some heroes were supportive while others were persistent in the fact that you shouldn’t be a hero. At best they would make comments here and there and avoid you, at worst they’d try and sabotage. you, but you never knew fear to be quite like this.

    “Don’t come any closer,” he growls, staggering only to grab the wall of a building beside him. His voice is nearly a growl catching you off guard. He seems to notice the way you flinched at the tone, his eyes softening.

    “I don’t,” he clenched his fists taking in a breath. “I don’t know what’s happening to me.”

    Bakugo stops his fussing for long enough to peer up and meet your eyes. You looked coherent enough. Tired, but sane–well, as sane as you could be. He remains quiet for a moment, then sighs.

    “Good. That’s probably the smartest thing you could’ve done.”

    You quirk up an eyebrow. “Wow, ‘smart.’ Don’t make a habit of complimenting me, now, or I’ll start to think I’m actually having a positive influence on you.”

    Bakugo groans. “I didn’t say it was a smart decision, I said it was the smart-est given the situation.” Despite his protests, he kneels down to examine your ankles, spending extra time checking the side you’d avoided putting weight on. Not that he’d been paying attention.
