“I…” Xia Fei’s mind scrambled for ideas, panic propelling his mouth to move, “I want him to myself.”
Vein smiled in undisguised interest.
“Alright. But on one condition,” Vein brought their bodies together, taking Xia Fei’s chin in one hand, “You’ll have to give us a show.” Vein’s voice was soft, but Xia Fei could feel the dangerous tremor that buzzed beneath, “He is leverage, you understand?”
Xia Fei did not shake, and he held Vein’s gaze as firmly as he could.
“There’s no point in dangling him in front of Lu Guang if we’re not doing something that will make him talk, is there?”
He understood the threat within the request. If Xia Fei did not take action, Vein would.
“Yes,” Xia Fei nodded, unblinking, “I understand.”
One month after the Bridon arc, Liu Xiao and Vein kidnap Cheng Xiaoshi and Lu Guang, intending to torture them into spilling information on their interference with the current timeline. Liu Xiao gives Vein and Xia Fei only one order: they can do whatever they want to Cheng Xiaoshi, as long as it gets Lu Guang to talk.
