Shalnark had never truly been afraid of death; few Meteor City kids were. Death was just an inevitable fate looming over all of them. He figured it would happen when it happened, and that was that. So, when he saw Hisoka, he didn’t feel afraid, but when the hefty weight landed in his hands covered with the distinct texture of silky hair, that was when the fear set in."
