Summary
Nahida's task comes in two flavours of hard. The hard: trying to track down the Fatui while being countless days behind. The harder: doing it with someone else, while assessing their suitability for Sumeru's top duties.
Cyno, of course, does it anyway.

Summary
Everything feels wound up tight. Worse of all is the sharp pain in Caleb’s shoulder from the screw that secures his mechanical arm to his scapula.
He lays on the couch and tries to relax, left arm draped over his eyes, occasionally shifting around in agony. The experiments went on for hours; he can't tell how long he's been up without sleep, yet his body refuses to rest. At least they didn't do any Toring Chip calibrations. Those really fuck with his mind.
His head snaps up—there's a beep at the door.
“Caleb?”
-OR- Caleb comes home from the lab in pain and asks her to loosen the screw drilled into his shoulder.

Summary
"Clorinde, no."
"You could always room with the Chief Justice." Clorinde, his former best friend, chimes in unhelpfully.
"No. Not helping, Clorinde."
Neuvillette looks thoughtful at her comment.
Fuck. "No. Monsieur. Don't entertain her." Wriothesley doesn't think he can survive living together with his crush.
"Please. I insist."
The prophecy was averted, but not everyone (or everything) came out unscathed.
Namely, the Fortress of Meropide.
