but finds out it might not be as ordinary of a task as he thought.

In an attempt to regain his dignity, he began to play with the buttons on the radio, hoping it would do something-Anything.
Fortunately, his button mashing led to a fuzzy message coming through the line, unfortunately, it was only dazai screaming.
