“I’m Jeongin,” He softly spoke, “Yang Jeongin. I’m searching for the northern witch too.” He looked up at Jisung for a moment, “May I ask why are you looking for her?”
“I have a wish to make.” Jisung answered letting Jeongin grasp the silent question of ‘what about you?’.
“A wish, huh?” Jeongin giggled and it was a pretty sound, though Jeongin’s smile soon turned somber, dampened a bit as he looked up into the sky, Jisung only now noticed the orange hue of the sky that painted itself so beautifully behind Jeongin, “I have a curse to break.”
Or, Jeongin gets cursed by the witch equivalent of Karen all while Jisung just wants his father to notice how his sister is better than him in every way possible. Tangled in both their similarities and differences, the boys discover one-too-many things together, maybe getting more than what they had bargained for in the beginning.

Summary
Jeongin was out in the fields when the letter arrived.
The letter asks or rather commands Jeongin to leave his family to become the town's witch's apprentice. The witch apparently proclaims that the boy is rather special, though Jeongin doesn't feel like one. What meets him in his way to harnessing his own unknown powers is a bond like none other.
Or, the story where Jeongin leaves his family only to find another one.

“You’re one to talk best friend? You have everybody kissing your ass and worshiping it. Not a single soul out there who hasn’t fallen for Hwang Hyunjin.”
Hyunjin most likely misses the subtle, very subtle, hint that everybody does indeed include Jeongin. Quite confirmed as the first thing Hyunjin thinks is 'not you though' before he throws it out of his mind. A true idiot at heart.
Or, Jeongin discovers that getting someone to love you back isn't as easy as the universe makes it seem nor does it solve every existing problem going on in your life. The concept of love Jeongin had was so utterly wrong, he'd have to blame the movies Hyunjin showed him.
