Summary
“Did you ever even like me?” He pleaded, voice shaky and unsure. The raw vulnerability of the question took Nagito slightly off-guard.
He did. He knew he did, that was impossible to deny. Hajime was a beacon of light in his eyes. He guided the others; he was the reasonable and dependable guy his entire class could look to when they were unsure of what to do. He got along with all of them and everyone felt at ease with him. That was true with no talent or every single talent in the world, because that quality was just so intrinsically Hajime’s.
“Yes. I still do,” he admitted, avoiding eye contact. “Everyone here does.”
“I’m not talking about them,” Hajime pleaded, insisting. Nagito broke, because he was a weak, weak man.

"Hinata’s smile cracked. “Excuse me?” he squeaked.
Munakata refocused, gazing expressionlessly at Hinata. “Not all the details have been decided, but we’ve established that you and Komaeda will be travelling in disguise as a young couple. Is that a problem?”
Hinata felt like the world was shifting under his crossed legs: like he was falling into darkness, never to return. Of course that was a problem!
Instead, he just smiled. “Not a problem at all.”"Hinata and Komaeda are given a mission to infiltrate one of the remaining segments of the Remnants of Despair, working under the alibi of a couple.
