Her reply was stalled by an onslaught of fervent, sloppy, lip bites. Was this going to be their thing?

More short-circuiting. In fact, Carol was certain she’d never be functional again. A small price to pay, really. And sure, the pronoun was evidently for show, but Carol had always loved theatre.

I absolutely love the little check in they have before going into the hearing. They feel like such a team, and Jimmy so clearly is putting an enormous amount of trust in Kim. I had to write a little fic about that, in maybe the reverse where Kim also trusts Jimmy.
