The thing was—she didn’t understand it. They weren’t fighting. Nothing was wrong between them, and yet here was Miles, turning another page, as though the last four days apart had not occurred to her at all.
It was possible, Phoenix thought, in the last coherent corner of her brain, that she was going to lose her mind.
“Do you not want to have sex with me?”
Four days apart. One empty apartment. Turns out, two years of marriage hasn’t made either of them any better at self-control.

Miles closes his eyes. Exhales. He, too, doesn’t want to experience another defendant dead by suicide at the hands of Dahlia Hawthorne.
“We are in agreement, then.”
She eyes him warily. Miles stands perfectly still. After a few seconds, she sighs.
“Let’s move this conversation to my office.” She opens the door and enters the main office room, leaving Miles at the doorstep. He follows suit and - abruptly stops.
Because there, on the office sofa, asleep, is Phoenix Wright.

“Do I make you nervous?” He was closing in again. Intentionally slow, as if trying to approach a skittish animal.
Edgeworth held his ground this time — he didn’t allow himself to cower, staring at Phoenix as if he could scare away whatever hunter’s greed had consumed him. Maybe he could have, if he hadn’t felt exactly as Phoenix suggested. “Nervous?” He scoffed. “Why would you make me nervous?”
“I should be asking you that.” Phoenix countered, and as he inched closer, so did that electricity. He didn’t pin Edgeworth to the door again — instead, this time, he leaned against it just in front of him. “Are you going to answer?”
There was a moment of hesitance, if only a small one. “…No. You don’t make me nervous.”
OR
The night after a taxing case, Phoenix Wright decides to celebrate among his friends, Edgeworth included. After drinking his body weight in liquor, Edgeworth takes Phoenix to the prosecutor’s apartment, and liquid courage works its magic to open unexpected doors.
