Summary
The first time Clint gets assassinated by the Winter Soldier, he doesn't see it coming, which is quite a testament to the guy's skills. Clint dies all the time, but usually he's aware that it's happening. It's been decades since anyone caught him off-guard like this.
"Coward!" he yells down the dark alley he was ambushed from, as soon as his larynx is healed enough to function. "Get back here and murder me to my face!"

“So what have you been up to this weekend?”
“Family picnic,” Peter says.
“Oh, great, great fun,” Tony says and swipes away from the article about Spider-Man wrestling a giant spider on the roof of the Chrysler building.
It’s quite obvious that Tony knows he is Spider-Man, but decided not to acknowledge it; decided to keep the secret going. For what reason, Peter doesn’t know. Maybe Tony thinks he can use the information in his favor, or maybe he just doesn’t want Peter to freak out. Either way, it serves Peter just fine, because Tony tries so hard to keep up his oblivious act that he never prods too hard or looks too deep.
Which means all of Peter’s far bigger secrets are still safe. -

Summary
Tony always knew that Queens was a bit of an unhinged neighborhood. So of course it was going to be during a visit to Queens that he once again fell victim to a robot attack. The ‘robot’ being an overexcited roomba that responded to voice commands awfully well.
Whoever made this roomba was clearly operating on that fine line between genius and insanity.
Which meant Tony needed to meet him. -

Darcy is thirty feet out of Stark-cum-Avengers Tower when she starts craving cinnamon rolls--the sticky-sweet iced-up old-fashioned kind, yummy and messy and dripping gooshy icing all over your mouth and hands and down your yuuuup, yup, that is a super, super fertile omega that she is smelling, holy shit is it ever.
“Jesus Christ,” she groans in frustration, then follows her alpha instincts (and, more easily and importantly, her nose) to go track them down. They’re in the middle of New York City; middle of the day or not, not checking on somebody who smells like that is, like, the ultimate dick move.
