Summary
“You shouldn’t allow me to rely on you too much,” Yeonjun warns, stilling him with a hand around his wrist. “It’s dangerous.”
Beomgyu tries to take a step backwards, but he’s frozen into place. “Dangerous how?”
The look Yeonjun gives him feels too raw, too unfiltered. There’s history in that glance, a forgotten, crystallized bond. Beomgyu has forgotten what it’s like to have him this close, to allow themselves to give and take from each other without any shame. Yeonjun inhales sharply through his nose, like he’s only just come upon the answer himself.
“Because I might just start to need you.”
In which Yeonjun suffers an injury and grudgingly becomes dependent on Beomgyu; queue an exploration of subgender identity crises, and years of unresolved tension that come bubbling to the surface.

Summary
Objectively, he’s known for a long time that Beomgyu is a beautiful man. It’s hard not to when it’s all he seems to stumble upon when he goes online. He’s known it when they first met, too, although back then Beomgyu had yet to grow into his features. But there’s something different now. Back then, he’d thought him cute. Throughout the years, he’d found him beautiful in a way that’s been somewhat platonic. As if understanding the universe: the sun goes down every night and comes back up in the morning and Choi Beomgyu is beautiful.
Now – now that he looks at it with the newfound knowledge that settled inside the very depth of his chest – Beomgyu’s beautiful in a way that makes Yeonjun’s insides crawl with heat.
Or: during comeback season, Yeonjun discovers just how pretty Beomgyu is when wrapped in lace.

Summary
Beomgyu makes it a point not to date blondes, and he certainly does not date blondes that have been deemed acceptable company by the actual bane of his existence. It’s unfortunate that Yeonjun falls under both categories, as well as an unforeseen third category: the friendzone Beomgyu has tossed him into.
[They still kiss, though. Platonically. Because that’s totally a thing.]

Summary
"Of course you couldn’t just get into an average Dispatch scandal. You just had to go the extra mile and get caught with his tongue down your throat. You couldn’t even turn the headlights off before you did it.”
Beomgyu pointedly ignored him. He'd already spent enough time insisting that this had been primarily Choi Yeonjun's fault— because first of all, Yeonjun was the one with a licence, not him, and that therefore meant he was the one in charge of the headlights, and second of all, if anybody needed reminding, it had been Yeonjun's tongue in his mouth.
Yeonjun and Beomgyu's situationship gets exposed by Dispatch.
In the fallout, Yeonjun tells his agency that they're dating. Beomgyu told his that they're barely even friends.

Summary
When Beomgyu looks back up at him, Yeonjun swears he almost breaks. But he doesn’t, and he’s still seated across the table from his childhood love in a small restaurant in their hometown by the sea.
The world keeps moving, and so does Yeonjun.
And so, Yeonjun makes a decision right then and now. The heat claws at his muscles, seeps into his pores under the hanging light above him. Even as the jasmine tries to suffocate him with its taunting sweetness, a testament to the past, fresh salt trickles in through the open windows. A new beginning.
A smile finds its way onto Yeonjun’s face, half-genuine and half-coerced. But it’s an honest attempt.
He’ll start over.
