The green-haired boy is content, enjoying the freedom from bitter, cold loneliness. He is 6 years old, and nothing has hurt him yet. The birds’ chirps ring in his ears, the breeze flows through his hair, and he is safe. Facial features on the other child’s face move around, forming into something that isn’t just a void of nothingness. He can feel himself beam, the warmth still spreading. He can feel himself yell out a name, but it’s foreign to him, and unrecognizable. The child figure in front of him lets sparks fly from his palms and fingers, and the green-haired boy can hear the sound of a child’s laughter once again, not quite sure if it came from him, or the other child next to him. The warmth still grows within him, and he is safe.
