Master Jinn survives the duel with the Sith—barely. He remains on Naboo to recuperate from his injury, watching from the sidelines as the galaxy moves on with things.
There were victories to be had, even if they were small: a night’s sleep, a breakfast that he could keep down. A lap or two around the medical ward, leaning on his IV stand. And today, at the end of the second lap, he’d even worked up the appetite for another pudding cup—an entirely new indulgence for him.
So it was rather a surprise when a gurney burst through the ward’s swinging doors, wheeled at breakneck speed by three—no, four—medics.
