Jeongguk clutches the ticket to his chest, his heart beating wildly inside of him. This is it. He’s finally done it.
Jeongguk smiles to himself and it gets only wider and wider, like he couldn’t stop his mouth any longer. The camera around his neck dangles at his excitement, as he bounces on his heels like a little child seeing something amazing for the very first time.
He's leaving. He is finally leaving the place, that brought him nothing but misfortune and grief. He is leaving the place, that brought him nothing but misfortune and grief. Letting out a big exhale, Jeongguk awaits the train arriving in the small station. It will bring him to Seoul and with that a new beginning.
Just as he's about to step inside the train, someone taps on his shoulder.
"Sorry, can you help me?"
When Jeongguk turns around, he swears he is seeing an angel.
