Eddie expects Christopher to look panicked at the question, perhaps a little guilty. What he doesn’t expect is for Christopher to roll his eyes at him.
So it’s up to Eddie to look shocked.
“Because,” Christopher says, drawing the word out like he’s annoyed at even having to give an explanation. “I was tired of having to explain your relationship to everybody.”
