Buck startles, unsure where that came from, and gives him an offended look before shaking his head, laughing. He ignores the voice in his head saying now that the competition's out of the way. "You backslide one time and your friends never let you forget it. I do have some dignity, you know."
"No, no, 's not that," Eddie protests. "Don't want you sleeping with any of your exes. Anyone. Well, one person would be fine."
"One person, huh?" Buck asks, amused. "And who would that be?"
Eddie shrugs. "I'm right here. I'm very" — he hiccups— "v'ry flexible, y'know. I stretch every morning."

Summary
Buck feels a kind of righteous indignation. It’s just not fair. Eddie deserves some mind blowing sex. And it’s not like it would be hard to fix. As far as orgasms go, Buck’s kind of an expert.
So she can’t really help what happens next. It’s like Buck 1.0 emerges from the depths of her soul to lean in, drop her eyes down to Eddie’s lips, and say:

Summary
Buck had thought the black mask that completely covers the top half of the guy's face looked silly, when he'd seen it on the news.
Now, with the man in front of him, he realizes why no one jokes about the vigilante's appearance. Even though he clearly doesn't perceive Buck as a threat, he seems like a mountain rather than a real person. All of his muscles look toned, and there's something dangerous in the set of his shoulders. Still, he offers Buck a small smile, one that kind of reminds him of Eddie's. He reaches his hands down to help Buck stand. It puts the man's biceps next to his face.
Buck swallows. Be normal when you talk to the hot vigilante, he thinks to himself.
"You know they make bigger shirt sizes, right?" he asks instead.

Summary
He knows that Maddie basically raised the man Eddie’s fallen in love with. He knows that every little way Buck shows up in his life, every display of love he gives to Eddie and Chris, he learned from Maddie.
He remembers what he said to Buck that day on the loft balcony, a bag of ice blocking blue eyes from his sight. That Buck had always known Maddie as his strong big sister, but she might need to be the one taken care of for once. Maybe he'd been speaking slightly from experience.
So, yeah. It doesn't matter that they've never really talked or hung out like this before. Maddie is Buck's family, which makes her Eddie's family. If what she needs is a wine night, Eddie's gonna make it the best damn wine night of her life.

“I kind of have a sweet tooth,” Eddie admits. “It was easier when we were a little broke. I took my coffee black because I was always in a rush to my next shift, and we were scraping by, so any juice and sweets I bought were for Chris.”
“So what changed?”
Eddie’s finally looking at him, and he flushes.
“I’m just trying this new thing,” he says, “where I stop punishing myself. I’m trying to be… nice to myself, I guess. For once. Like, showing myself that the world isn’t going to end if I do something just for me.”
