He’s got the card in the slot already, but he’s loath to enter the pin with someone practically breathing down his neck. He starts to turn, a sharp Buddy, do you mind? on his lips, when there’s something hard and cold pressed against his spine. Rick goes frozen still, recognizing the deadly muzzle of a small handgun at his back. The man, as he can tell now, leans in close, his breath warm and tickling the side of Rick’s neck.
