Summary
Fukuzawa slams his hand against the door beside the man’s head, hitting it hard. But instead of flinching, the man remains unfazed.
“This is nothing I can’t handle,” Fukuzawa growls, irritated by the man’s nonchalant attitude and his apparent lack of awareness of the danger right in front of him.
Suddenly, a sharp pain radiates from Fukuzawa’s wound, and his vision blurs. He hunches over slightly, groaning as he tries to suppress the pain.
“Wow, I just pressed it a little, and you almost screamed like a little girl. You really need to rest, sir,” the man teases in a melodious, mocking tone.
Fukuzawa glares at him murderously. Forget not hurting an innocent—this man must be a demon sent by the gods to torment him. It’s probably punishment for all the blood he’s spilled.
