before there was the van der linde gang, there was dutch and hosea. and before there was dutch and hosea, there was nothing but an aching emptiness threatening to tear his rib cage open and pull him apart from the inside. for better or worse, dutch intended to keep hosea by his side till the day came where one would have to bury the other in the ground. after all, he never was very good at letting go of the things he knew he ought not to keep.
