Summary
Vic Fuentes is stuck suffering the grief of his brother, Mike. He finds himself troubled, consistently on the brink of hurting himself or someone else. He constantly tries to be polite, but he’d always feel like too much weight was being put on his soul. Vic escaped from his mind’s hellscape in ways that punished himself. He couldn’t stop himself, so when the nights grew later and the world slowed down, some deep part of Victor came uncaged and told him to pain himself continuously until he either fell asleep for the night or forever.
Then pranced in an equally troubled Kellin Quinn from Michigan. He moves to San Diego, rather sad to leave, though he was overenthusiastic about leaving his abusive stepdad. Caleb (said stepdad) swore to make sure he suffered alone and promised greater consequences if he were to tell a soul about the trauma he bestowed upon the young Kellin. Alchohol swallowed him. His mother struggled enough being newly divorced, so he decided to be less of a burden by drinking the pain away. It’d never go away, but maybe it would be hidden by the foggy liquid clouding up inside of him.
Enough dwelling on their backstories, though. They’ll have to move on eventually. But, will they?
