The Gluttony twins were defeated a year ago on this very date, by the hands of the Sword Saint. It’s an event worth celebrating, but as everyone marches out to the streets in song and dance, he thinks of how their shame latches on to him, and refuses to let go.
Gluttony is the greatest sin he has. Eat him, eat her, eat them. Ever since that witch in the guise of a little girl visited him and gave him that gospel, hunger whispers instructions and commands into his mind, influencing his every action and dictating his every move.
Those that condemn him and spurn his decisions, only do so because they never had the sensation. It is only when you are satisfied, that you can choose who you eat with or what you eat. If they hunger like he does, no other concern about eating is present except for the need to ward the void in his stomach away.
It is oh so easy, for the wealthy to mock the poor, and for the healthy to pity the dying. It is only natural for the starving to hunt for food, no? He eats, and eats and eats until the urge is lessened, but it shall never be enough.
