Summary
When Inuyasha collapses under a sudden, violent fever, Kagome refuses to leave — even after Myōga reveals two truths: his demon blood will either burn away his human half or kill him, and that he already knows Kagome is his mate, even if Inuyasha does not.
He survives — but the hanyō she knew is gone. Fully yōkai, he is sharper, stronger, and drawn to Kagome, though it takes time to understand why. Under Sesshōmaru’s training, he hones his strength and control, but it is Kagome who teaches him what it means to be truly seen and chosen. Stolen glances, lingering touches, and quiet tension build until Kagome finally closes the space with a deliberate, heart-pounding kiss.
What begins as survival transforms into devotion, desire, and a bond forged through grief, battle, and life together. He may be full yōkai now… but she has always been his.
