Summary
Out of the corner of his eye, he sees Phainon standing there, as still as a ghost. And as pale as one, too. The dim, golden lighting of the bathhouse blurs the sharp angles of his silhouette, casting an eerie glow around him; if not for the fact that Mydei can still hear the faint staccato of his breaths, it’s almost as if he isn’t there at all.
So, it’s one of those days, then.
In which; Phainon seeks comfort, and Mydei overthinks.

The dragon cranes his neck upwards, his longing gaze fixed at the night sky, “No.”
To the naked eye, the butterfly only flutters her wings softly and the ocean waves gently crash against the wooden beams that hold the platform but to the one whose heart now beats with all that is life, he knows that the little creature looks up to see what he sees. Even the waves still just enough, all sea creatures matching his action to look up at the night sky.
At the star only he is privy to.
