Summary
In the beginning, Chuck had a perfect plan.
In the beginning, Naomi expected to be an archangel.
In the beginning, another angel received that honor and set Naomi spiraling with envy and hate.
In the beginning, Castiel was born to two freedom-loving archangels, and that was the beginning of the end.
Now at the end of it all, Sam and Dean find out that angels are real and dicks (some exceptions included). God is a douche. Naomi is a controlling monster. And basically everyone is cool with ending the world, using them as their tools.

Summary
Castiel’s life is pretty uneventful — he has his cabin in the woods, he has his bee hives, and he has a massive crush on the delivery guy from the local beekeeper’s supply shop, Dean. He never quite found the courage to tell the gorgeous guy about his feelings, until one day, an encounter with magical pollen takes the decision out of his hands. Aroused beyond belief, he’s tormented by what he wants but can’t have. Luckily, when Dean arrives, he offers to help Castiel out.
It seems like there’s a simple answer to their dilemma. But suddenly, Castiel finds himself somewhere else, sometime else entirely — naked, covered in bees, on top of a car with a different Dean staring at him. Because nothing is as it seems.

Summary
Castiel teams up with Crowley behind the Winchesters’ backs with the intention of taking in Purgatory souls in a display of dominance over his brother Raphael, who is determined to put the Apocalypse back on the tracks. None of them are prepared for the way the souls consume Castiel, and Dean decides the only way to potentially protect innocent people is to accompany him to Heaven under the pretense of a loyal follower. Dean’s willingness to obey surprises even himself and while he struggles to make Castiel feel human again, he’s forced to confront some very real feelings about his best friend.

Summary
The portal to the other universe closes with Lucifer trapped on the other side, Castiel dead, and Jack born. In true fashion, Castiel does return, a little more broken the originally, but still good. Castiel begins doing things that he never pictured himself doing, like raising the offspring of Satan. Even Dean is trying to cut the bullshit and horrid Winchester habits out of his family’s life (lying, deceit, miscommunication). He tries his hand at “open communication” and “honesty”, and every once in a while puts effort into “talking about his feelings”. Cas only wishes it wasn’t his secrets that may jeopardize their almost happy ending. However, he’s not the only one keeping them.
