“It’s been over a minute.” Poe’s excuse to try and keep her composure fell from her mouth as her eyes returned to the door with a nervous glance.
Ranpo took her chin between her fingers, temporarily releasing her grip on the latter’s waist.
“Hey… None of them are coming back, at least, in the next two hours,” Ranpo paused. “It’s gonna be alright, we have time.”
“And the document?”
The heat of her words grazed Ranpo’s skin ever so slightly as she spoke between their lips.
“We don’t need that now, do we?”
Or, Poe visits the ADA as usual, but Ranpo has other plans.
