Vi rolled her eyes as Caitlyn followed her into the bathroom, whirling on her the second the door closed.
“What the fuck is your deal? Thought it might be fun to slum it for the night with the gutter trash who rescued you out there? You’re welcome, by the way.”
“No, I–” Caitlyn made a noise of frustration, face scrunching up, and then she was really fuckin’ close.
Vi held her breath, not wanting to break the weird fucking moment.
“You’re infuriating,” Caitlyn breathed, and Vi tried - and failed - not to shiver when warm breath ghosted over her lips.
“Yeah, well–” Vi started to snark back…and then Vi’s night was officially the weirdest she’d had in a while, because Caitlyn Kiramman, conservative politician’s daughter, was kissing her like she was fucking starving and Vi was an all-you-can-eat buffet in the desert.

“Ugh, you’re disgusting.”
Vi grins sharply, a dangerous glint in her eyes as she absentmindedly taps away at a rhythm on the shared kitchen’s dining table, her enjoyment of Caitlyn’s frustration as clear as day.
Caitlyn thinks she needs more sleep, or someone to shake her, because she unfortunately thinks this back and forth is… doing it for her. So she ignores the way her cheeks flush, her stomach tight and her jaw tense, as she grabs her leftovers and leaves the kitchen.
(She has unfortunately already indeed thought about banging this drummer.)

“What are you staring at, hm?” Vi asks with a sleepy mumble and then a yawn. She turns her face into the pillow to do it, and then flops back onto her side, her hair even messier with the action. She grins dopily, sleep still lingering heavy. She always takes a few slow minutes to properly wake.
“Watching you snore,” Caitlyn replies, her voice low from sleep. Vi chuckles warmly.
“You need better hobbies,” she teases.
On a warm spring morning, Caitlyn wakes up and enjoys the view.
