Summary
It's a story with multiple narrators, each chapter being spoken in the first person by the protagonist of the chapter. The story generally follows the growth of Mackenzie, who learned at a young age that he's gifted, a one-in-a-million chance of being born with powers of some sort. Mackenzie, however, was born with a demon inside of him that manifested at his seventh birthday party. He lost control that day and caused damages he'll never be able to fix. He spends the next nine years in semi-isolation until he's finally cleared to go back to school, and that's where everything in Mackenzie's life starts over again, from day one.
