The gallery seemed to shrink around them, all oil portraits and shadows. Megumi’s heart thundered, fury and something more traitorous knotting in his chest. Why is he here? Why does he keep looking at me like that?

“Why are you even bothering?” Megumi asked bitterly. “Did your ego take a hit when I walked off without fawning over you like the others?"

“No,” Ryoumen said simply. “Because you looked at me like I was nothing. And I’ve been looked at a lot of ways—but never like that.”

Megumi faltered for a breath. “You deserve worse.”

“I probably do.” Ryoumen stepped closer, enough that Megumi could feel the warmth radiating through the scant inches between them. “But I’m still asking.”

Megumi narrowed his eyes. “Asking what?”

Ryoumen’s hand lifted, palm open, patient and strangely soft for someone who could break him with a word. “Dance with me.”

Megumi stared at the offered hand, then up into those infuriating eyes. “You’re serious?”

    “I am.”

    No.”

    “He’s a natural.”

Megumi turned, and there he was again—grinning, towel slung around his neck, arms crossed over his broad chest like he hadn’t just spent an hour corralling chaos in the form of six-year-olds. “Kid’s got potential,” Sukuna added, then looked at Megumi. “You might have a pro on your hands one day.”

His throat went dry and Megumi did his best to muster up a smile. “Thanks. That means a lot coming from you.”

The older man shrugged one shoulder, casual. “So, you’ll be back for next practice?”

“We’ll be here,” Megumi said, a little too quickly. Tamaki was still glowing beside him, bouncing on the balls of his feet. “He loved it.”

“Good.” Sukuna’s gaze lingered for a second longer than necessary. “See you then.”

And just as he turned to walk away, Megumi noticed it. That pale strip of skin on Sukuna’s left ring finger.

A tan line. The ghost of a ring.

    Oh…

    Of course he was married.

    Figures.

single dad megumi finds himself falling for his son's baseball couch - it's really unfortunate that he's married.

    Summary

Sukuna— a King who is not familiar with loss— spots a beautiful figure bathing in his palace's bathhouse. Intrigued and bewitched by their beauty and a unique mark upon their leg, he seeks getting closer for a taste. But his advances are shot down cruelly as the figure runs away from him, spooked.

Since then, Sukuna vows to catch them, to take back what he owns that dared run from him. He calls in every Omega in his palace to examine their scent and, oddly to onlookers eyes, their legs.

Megumi is a dancer in Sukuna's court, who lays low due to his loaded past and secret identity he keeps hidden even from his closest friends. But when his leg catches Sukuna's attention it appears to be harder and harder to keep that secret of his buried under the rubble of his old kingdom, ruled now by a King Megumi despises.

    Megumi.

Sukuna thought it was a woman, but no.

It was a young man with alabaster skin and eyes so green the forest of the mountains seemed dull.

He took over Sukuna's mind the moment they were introduced. Piercing green eyes were lowered politely, but alpha was no fool. He could see anger boiling behind those long lashes. He recognized animosity in the way a sharp jaw was locked and how pretty omega glared at him when he thought Sukuna wasn't looking.

And oh, alpha was looking at him alright.

About arranged marriage and how jade eyes made the tiger purr.
