Aemond had always believed that fear was weakness. But now fear came not from battle or defeat. It came from the thought of what might become of the boy he had just let go.
He laughed softly, a low, disbelieving sound that broke the silence.
Of course. Aemond Targaryen had always wanted what belonged to his brother. Jacaerys had belonged to Aegon first. And perhaps, in some twisted way, he always would.
So he burns the world instead.
The smallfolk told the tale in whispers. They said a mad prince had lost his reason to the gods, that he burned not for conquest but because he could not die.
They said the Seven had turned their faces from him, that the fire obeyed him because nothing else would.

It's too good to be true, Aegon isn't naive, he slowly accepts his fate, there is no escape from this.
Aegon has two children with his sister Helaena, and both his mother and grandsire placed a heavy burden on him— He never hoped to be a part of this game, He never wanted to be the challenge.
Or Aegon is tied down by the burdens of being a firstborn son, he is trapped and miserable, in desperate need of an escape— coincidentally, his nephew, Jacaerys Velaryon had unknowingly given it to him.

Note: So I wrote this almost 2 years ago and I gotta say, this writing sucks so bad, so this story is going under renovation :D , main plot won't be changed but I really really gotta fix the sentence structure and flow because dang re-reading this really hurt my eyes :D Thank you to everyone who read this and are still waiting for updates !
