welcome to Edward's twisted mind once again. This was Not supposed to be that long but I guess I underestimated how much this man can ramble and grumble looking back on his own descent into satyric madness. First chapter is basically setup and context for what led to spawning freaky fantasies in which he desperately longs to be taken and savoured so very bad. Second chapter is one of such fantasies, and what most of the tags are for. Both parts work on their own. (Ingredients + Preparation & The Meal, if you may. lol)
Includes several brief mentions of his past, a lot of bitterness and self-hate, a lot of spouse-hate as well, and a gnawing all-consuming yearning to be requited.

This one is a glimpse of the negative space left by the absence of the one who systematically isolates him, and then dares to not stay by his side. It's about the blurred lines between one's swaying perception of reality and dream in the realm beyond the mirror: an intrusive peek at a possible future wherein he and his spouse, two parallel lines, never converge again.
This one is just a nightmare.

Summary
Despite being a well-known novelist in their youth, Phosphophyllite is currently just another college student, taking an online program to become an early childhood educator. Having been inspired by a teacher they had before moving away a long time ago, they decide to move back to the old town they had met the teacher, despite not remembering much else of the town from their adolescence. Shortly after moving in, Phos meets and grows attached to the reserved librarian Cairngorm, who's face brings back cloudy memories Phos doesn't quite understand.
Even though a large portion of their solitary college life has passed by in an idyllic daze of writing and studying, Phos finds themselves chasing after threads hiding the mysteries of the town and the people in it, and dragging Cairn down with them into a full scale investigation leading them to revelations they had never expected.
Or, Phos makes Cairn break into a jewelry store with them, and it all goes downhill from there.
