Henry’s best friend Percy moved in with his girlfriends Nora and June, and while the three of them kindly extended the offer to Henry knowing he had no one else to live with, Henry declined. He knew exactly what they’d get up to, and giving them their privacy was the better option.
He had resigned himself to living on his own, grateful that he could afford to do so, even though it would be a bit lonely after living with Pez for so long. He had decided shortly after Pez left to downsize to a one bedroom, just so it felt a little less empty.
Until one day in his usual cafe, a mess of tan skin and brown curls smacked into his chest, narrowly avoiding spilling coffee all over them both.

Loosely, RWRB but from Henry's POV. Snapshots of Henry's life before and during the book's events. The things we (Alex) didn't see: crushing on Philip's friends, grieving his father's death, braving Queen Mary's search for a wife, and just how hard Henry (foolishly) tried not to fall in love with a certain boy named Alex.
[I might blend the book/movie at times because I've read/watched both so many times that I've lost count at this point, but it'll mostly be following the book's timeline of events. Also, I'm using a timeline created by @/itsdrsweetheart on Twitter as a rough basis for the dates! Shout out to Morgan and Maggie for it; it's been a huge help.]
