Summary
Harry Potter is an ordinary 17-year-old boy, counting down the days before he can leave his horrible relatives when an unexpected letter opens up a whole new, not entirely welcoming world.
This is a story that tries to rethink and reframe the Harry Potter universe through a more mythical and adult lens. It won't be the canon that you're used to, but instead a mix of mythology, history, and hopefully humor, that features new friends, new relationships, and new ideas.

Theo threw up his arms and looked between them all wildly.“Why exactly are we all sitting around discussing this like the weather? Hagrid can’t hatch a dragon here!”
Bulstrode sighed and rolled her eyes.
“He’s right, Hagrid. Bad form to hatch a dragon in a wooden thatched hut. Now that stone shed outside…”

Summary
In an alternate wizarding world where Hogwarts starts at 17 and wizarding society still remembers the days of Rome and the whispers of the Sidhe, Harry Potter finds himself in a situation he could never have imagined.
August 2023 Update:
In this story. no one would be more disgusted by the bigotry shown by the JKR than Harry. Harry knows what bigotry looks like, the poison that it is, and how the fake idea of normalcy ruins people's lives. Theo, of course, would just want to understand any and all people different from him. Bulstrode's support for non-traditional gender binaries goes without saying. These guys are ready to reshape society for the better cause if Harry has a bunch of power for reasons he can't remember or really understand, you can be damn sure he's going to use it to at least try and make things better.
I don't have a timeline yet on when I'll start posting the revised stuff, but I will aim for around my birthday in October or Thanksgiving here in the States. Once I start posting this time, I don't want to stop, so I want to get as much done as possible before I start.
