A newly reborn Jackie finds herself fighting to keep her humanity even as she grapples with her past death, her changed teammates, visions from the wilderness, and the growing realization that she's in love with a best friend she doesn't recognize anymore—and that she probably always has been.

Melissa rises behind Shauna, one eye squinting as she steps out into the light to stumble closer, plastering to Shauna’s side. “Mm, what are you doing? Come back to bed.”
Jackie turns before she can see their mouths connect.
