A bloody hand closed around Albedo’s wrist. He looked down to see Kaeya, the pain clear on his face as he grasped onto Albedo. Like Albedo was some lifeline, or the last flicker of warmth in an undying storm—and not the pirate who had stolen Kaeya from the depths of his own home.
“Let me return to the sea,” Kaeya said. “Please.”
“I—”
“I will return,” Kaeya said, fingers loosening around Albedo’s wrist as his arm fell to his side, limp. His strength seemed to leave him all at once. “Please. I am in your debt. As with the rest of your crew.”
