“Are you nervous?” Steve asks, breaking the silence.
“Nah, not really. Had a tooth pulled before that was pretty gnarly. I was okay then.” Eddie shrugs. “Just hope the pain’s not too bad since it’s all four of them, ya know?”
“I’m sure it’ll go great. Plus they’ll give you pain meds.” Steve pats Eddie’s forearm gently in reassurance and Eddie just barely manages not to have an aneurysm, a blush quickly climbing his cheeks. He covers his face with his hair to hide it. Steve, thankfully, just takes it as more nervousness about the surgery.

The guy who wrote the ad certainly painted a vivid image, that’s for sure.
“23 years old, accused of murder once, acquitted because I never actually killed anyone. No high school degree :( but I do have a dirty old van one year younger than me painted like Eddie Van Halen’s guitar.”
That alone was enough to get Steve to almost die choking on his frosted flakes.
