    A melody adorned the silence of the night. Filled with sorrow, yet so calm and soft. As if yearning for someone to colour the world with the colours of the sky, the green of trees and budding flowers. And yet it all stayed still - a spill of gray clouds overshadowing the sky, not even a single star in sight. It all appeared much like a music sheet. Black and white.

    You could hear the sound of flickering lights and the light fluttering of eyelashes besides the melody dancing around the light breeze of spring. As if accompanying the notes, they danced and spinned around in beat together with the melody.

    The wind picked up its pace, the branches of spring-awoken trees gently knocking on the tightly shut window. As if urged, once calm melody turned to one seeking the warmth of other; full of distress and sorrow.

    One of the lights stopped to a halt. As if mourning it, the melody stopped too. A pair of eyes fluttered open. The hands that moved just a second ago fell off the piano.

    "I can't hear it... no matter what I play."

    Lena Luthor tries really hard not to be swept up in the charms of the super friendly, sports playing, popular, Kara Danvers the second she meets her and pretty much epically fails.

    Lena doesn't want to get hurt again. Kara doesn't walk away that easily and eventually they fool themselves that they're friends. Best friends. Secret best friends that go on friend dates.
    With Lillian and Lex Luthor somehow doing their best to deprive Lena of any chance of happiness in her life and Lena's own hardened defences, they will face plenty of challenges as they work out exactly what they mean to each other.
