She hates it, squeezing her eyes shut and pressing her trembling hand down harder. No one says anything and she chokes on a sob, the cool night air of the Crystarium stinging on her flushed cheeks.

“You can’t sleep.” Alisaie states, eyes narrowing further. “And neither can we.”
The Warrior peeks over Alisaie’s shoulder, finding Alphinaud already sitting atop her bed. He waves a little upon seeing her, amusement clear in the curve of his smile.

“Well,” she responds, absentmindedly rubbing her thumbs along the delicate bones of his wrist. “I worry about your condition. It scares me to see you suffer through this. Won’t you let me help?”
“Of course,” Thancred says, an exhausted smile stealing across his face. “Of course.”
Upon returning to the Source Thancred overdoes his training to the detriment of his health and nerves. Luckily Eisha knows exactly what he needs.

Ysayle rolls over on her side and props her head up on her hand, studying Eydis in the low light that’s starting to seep through the tent walls. The colors have not yet been returned to the world and the monochrome makes nothing feel real as Eydis opens her mouth and bleeds from it.
The Warrior of Light's Echo allows her to see the death of an individual before it comes to pass. She wishes Ysayle Dangoulain was the exception.

After the Bloody Banquet in Ul'dah, Alphinaud and the Warrior of Light flees and find they have to spend the winter in Camp Dragonhead under the watchful eye of Lord Haurchefant. With the Scions scattered and nowhere else to go, will they be able to build a friendship and find common ground in the trauma they shared?
