“Martha Jones.”
It’s a man. That’s a man’s voice. A young, very ecstatic sounding man whose face might have a massive, toothy grin plastered on it. Why is it a man’s voice?
The unfamiliar voice spoke. “Though I suppose it’s Doctor Smith now, is it? Or Doctor Jones-Smith?” She isn’t a woman?
There was a brief silence before Martha realized she was supposed to speak. “Doctor?”
“Hello,” came a quick, eager response.

Summary
When the Doctor bid his distant goodbye after saving their lives once more, the newly-weds knew it would be the last time they see of him.
It’s been a day since Martha and Mickey fought the Sontaran in that abandoned site. They were lodged at a hotel, packed and ready to fly back home tomorrow. It took them until tonight to finally— and completely— relax, but the recent appearance of the Doctor made it hard to do so.
Mickey watches as his wife sits by the balcony, staring at her phone in silent thought, and knows exactly what she’s thinking about— who she’s thinking about.
