“Say it.” Naruto took another step forward, pushing the crack in her armor just a bit wider.
Anger, her oldest, most faithful shield roared to life.
“And you’ll do what, Naruto? Call off the wedding?” The words tasted bitter on her tongue. When his eyes softened with uncertainty, she almost smirked. But there was no joy in it. This wasn’t a victory.
