Y/n has built the perfect life for herself within The Quiet Roast Café. She’s molded it into a place for anyone to escape the chaos of New York—even the Avengers. With a fluffy cat who judges customers, rules in place to prevent fanboying over heroes, and the perfect schedule, her life couldn’t get better!
Then the Avengers walk in with Bucky Barnes in tow and Y/n’s perfect world begins to get disrupted when they’re revealed to be soulmates. And unfortunately for her, Bucky finds the determination to become a regular.

“Here’s that hot cocoa for you,” Y/n sets the mug on the side of the counter closest to Bucky. “You know you can tell me the truth right.” Y/n says genuinely as Bucky picks up the mug. She leans in closer and whispers, “Did Steve ditch you on a run?”
Bucky lets out a rough laugh and shakes his head no. He stares down at the whipped cream in his mug.
“Good because I’d have to increase the price of his frappes if he was bullying my customers.” Y/n’s curiosity peaked when Bucky continued to stand there unmoving. “Did you need anything else..?” She stated slowly.
