Summary
"You okay?” Nyla asked.
Lucy’s throat tightened. “I’m fine.”
“You sure? You haven’t looked me in the eye since we arrive.”
“I’m just focused.”
Nyla arched a brow, slowly. “On what?”
Lucy stepped past her. “On not blowing the op before it even starts.”

Summary
Blossom giggled as Tim unlooped the scarf and rescued the sloth. She cradled him lovingly. “Pancake says he forgives the toast.”
“I don’t even want to know what that means.”
Luke climbed onto a stool with a huff, grabbing the blue bowl Nate had apparently abandoned. “Justice has been served.” -

Summary
Lucy let out a short, humorless laugh. “Funny. Coming from the guy who’s been noticing every little mistake I’ve made lately.”
Tim stopped a few feet from her, jaw tightening. “I am not.”
“No?” she said, stepping closer. “Then what do you call jumping down my throat in front of Grey this morning? Or undermining me on patrol yesterday? You think I don’t notice when you do that passive-aggressive silence thing whenever I mention Chris?”

Summary
It started with a banana.
Specifically, a banana costume.
“Absolutely not,” Tim said, arms crossed, eyebrows doing that disappointed-dad arch thing.
Lucy held up the offending object — a full-body banana suit with little mesh holes for the eyes — and grinned like she wanted to be arrested.
“Oh come on,” she said. “It’s for the cover! I’m working the smoothie booth. It’s thematic.”
“We’re infiltrating an illegal gambling ring,” Tim snapped. “Not hosting a kids’ birthday party at Chuck E. Cheese.”
Lucy wiggled the costume at him. “Don’t be scared. You’d look great in yellow.”
“I swear to God—”
“Sargent Bananaford.”
He stared at her like she killed someone.
