This time a breath of frustration does leave his mouth.
“What?”
“I’m still cold.” Reki pauses. “And the floor is hard.”
Langa is so tired he would do anything to get Reki to be quiet. So he says, in English, “For the love of God,” and then, in Japanese, “Reki, come sleep up here.”

Miguel’s blood smeared frame came into focus, shading her from the light as he continued to move more rubble off of her. His voice came out muffled and distorted, her ears still ringing. She wasn’t aware that she was hyperventilating until he took her face in his hands.
“Breathe, kid, breathe.” His voice came in clearer now, shocking her.
“I-I can’t find Miles.” Her voice wavered as his fingers skittered up the sides and the back of her head to feel for injuries. Her words gave him a pause, but his expression remained still.

Summary
Gwen blinked, and only then did she notice her blurred vision and wet cheeks. She clenched her jaw hard and tried to get ahold of herself, to reign her wildly fluctuating thoughts and emotions in before she lost control, but it was too late.
The water was already climbing her legs and dragging her body below the raging waves, submerging her whole in the cold, caliginous sea. Her lungs restricted painfully in her chest from the lack of oxygen, chest burning with an internalized agony that was viciously fighting to reach the surface. The feeling was both frightening and familiar. She knew what happened next, and she couldn’t stop it. She could do nothing but succumb and let her body go limp.
It always stunned her how much harder it was to see the light of the sun when you’re sinking steadily to the bottom of the ocean.
OR
Gwen unknowingly gets sent on a mission to Earth-65 on the anniversary of Peter's death. It doesn't go well, but Miles is there to help in the aftermath.
