“How could you do this to me?!” She dropped the scale model of the Cognito building to one side and slammed her fists on the table where her father sat in the chair that should, by any sane human being’s logic, belong to her.
“Sorry, kid. It's still Team Ridley.” Rand rose from the seat, “It’s just, you know, I’m the team captain now. But I get what you meant about boundaries,” he pointed at her before pulling out a folding paper screen from under the desk and unfolding it. The face of the demon on it was somehow less hideous than the monster on the other side.
“Look, paper curtain thingy. It’s like you're not even in this office.” he declared with a sense of sickening pride and grandeur.
“Oh, you motherfucker!”
