Summary
Kaz shows up on the Wraith with a stab wound. Inej has to find a way to stitch up a boy who can't be touched.
----

All she saw of him at first was his silhouette against the harbor lights: coat collar flipped up against the breeze, cane planted firmly at his side.
Too firmly, she realized.
“Kaz?” she called, and he turned to face her.
“Inej,” he said. Then he collapsed to the ground.

A destructive thought entered his head like a malady, Jesper desperately wanted to—
"Stitches," Jesper breathed instead as if he were saying something much different, "this needs stitches." Jesper coughed, trying to dislodge what felt like a frog in his throat, and tried to compose himself while Kaz looked away to the side, red with what must be pain. With what had to be pain.
