There was no flaw in his movements, no weak point to strike. His face set in a blank canvas of concentration and indifference as he lunged at her once more, confident and quick.
Foolishly, Mizuki thought he looked handsome. Mismatched eyes reflected the bright morning sun that dipped through the windows at the top of Gym Gamma. It was distracting, the way he moved so smoothly, muscles flexing underneath his training uniform.

A misstep, a stupid, silly thought. Time slowed as he caught her wrist in a strong hand, his right one she absentmindedly noted, and she felt the subtle, cool chill of frost prickling on her skin.
