“Well, since we’re keeping secrets, I guess I should have one too. Don’t you think?” Lexi shrugged and hid her nervousness beneath her skin, scared that she’s making him even angrier. She’s still sitting on the sink but now tensely sitting up straight.
“What fucking secret, Lexi?”
“Don’t play dumb, Fezco.” She rolled her eyes trying to act tough but she’s holding back tears.

Lexi looked at herself in the mirror. Standing there in here party dress with the same red lipstick she had the first night fez talked to her, still feeling so crushed. She checked her phone expecting to see his excuses and reasons of not coming but there’s nothing. He didn’t text or call. Nothing.
