Summary
It’s not common to see snow in Los Angeles in November. But snow on 11/11 day? That’s a different story. It feels like a sign from the universe. Or maybe it’s just that when Buck and Eddie make a wish, the universe actually listens.

Summary
Eddie has always been drawn to Buck’s hands. There’s something magnetic about them. Strong but gentle, like they could protect you, and hold you at the same time. Eddie finds himself watching them sometimes, like when Buck’s fiddling with a tool or tying a knot. They seem so capable, so sure of what they're doing. It’s like his hands have their own language, one that Eddie doesn’t always understand but is drawn to.
or:
Summary: Eddie holds Buck’s hands five times, and then there’s the one time he finally does. And it's at their wedding.
---This is an alternate ending. It's a happy “plus one” of 5+1 holding hands to my fic: "holding what matters." The title is inspired by the song called "Never Seen Nothing Like You." by Nate Highfield.

Summary
“You’re bi?” Adriana gasps. Because, for all the things Eddie drunkenly told her about Buck last night, that little nugget of information had not been included. “Wow,” she breathes. “Wow, wow, wow. That’s - - sorry, that’s great. Isn’t that great, Eddie?”
Eddie, who had confessed his giant gay crush to her like it was a terminal diagnosis, kicks her under the table. “Sure is.”
Or, Adriana is in town for New Year's, and it's the best decision of her gossip-loving life.

Summary
“You think those stretches actually do anything?”
Summers had appeared beside him, the sound of his skates muffled under the blood rushing through Ilya’s ears– and elsewhere– as he stole another glance at Shane.
“I don’t do them and I am better than him, so no. Or maybe they do help and I could be best hockey player ever.”
“Mm. Hey, if he wants to put himself in that position it’s on him, I guess. I’m not gonna complain about the show.”
Ilya froze, turning himself on the ice to face Summers properly.
“The… show?”
*or*
Boston's new rookie has the hots for Shane. Ilya does not cope well.

Summary
When Buck is a little older, if you ask him what love is, he will tell you that it’s catching his sister in his arms and holding her close as she gasps for air. He will tell you it’s the deep brown eyes of a friend he will fall in love with. He will tell you it’s being handed a flower by a little girl in a garden.
He will tell you about his dead brother, and his dead captain that’s really like a dead father, and the grief he shoulders that never goes away, and you’ll be worried and scared and wonder if love is worth it in the end, and Evan Buckley will say –
“That’s just love. Nothing you can do about that.”
Love is a noun. Love is gravity, a whispered name between two people, a tattoo.
Love is a verb. It’s having a meal together, a shared laugh in a crowded bar, a ghost in the bed you curl around.
It’s a garden you tend to. It’s a well loved flower. A plant with roots that reach deep into the earth.
“That’s just the way it is.”
***
A story about Buck growing up, and learning what flowers mean.

“Hi, uh, are you with someone?" The guy to his left asked. Shane lets his eyes wander.
Shane thought he was attractive.
“No,” He said finally, shrugging like it meant nothing. “Why?”
“No reason.” The guy grinned, unbothered. “Just wondering. I’m Buck.”
“Shane.”
