Summary
“What?” Gavi’s voice broke, the anger momentarily giving way to raw hurt. He couldn’t believe what Pedri had just said, couldn’t believe that he would even suggest something like that. It wasn’t just a fight anymore; it was like the foundation of everything they had built together was cracking right in front of him.
“My pain will not be your burden, not anymore, Pablo. Fucking leave if you can’t handle it,” Pedri snapped, turning away, his jaw clenched, his voice cold and final.
How had everything fallen apart so quickly? Were they really so fragile that one argument could shatter everything? Wasn’t their relationship supposed to be stronger than this? At that moment, he wasn’t so sure.
(or... a fight shakes the foundation that Pedri and Gavi had managed to build in their relationship, and neither of them know how to fix it.)

Summary
Gavi was a coward, and he knew it. If only he were brave enough to admit his feelings to his – irrationally pretty – best friend, the stupid turmoil of his heart might disappear. But he couldn't bear the thought of rejection. Just the idea of scaring Pedri away from his life absolutely terrified him. At the end of the day, it didn’t matter if Pedro was not his boyfriend, because at least he was a constant part of his life.
Their friendship came first, even if Pablo was painfully pinning in secret, having a piece of Pedri’s heart was more than enough. He was privileged just by having Pedri love him as a friend, and he was not going to ruin that.
Unless Pedri gave him reasons to do it.

It had been years since Pedri had gone on an actual romantic date. The last time he remembered holding a girl’s hand for the first time – with nervousness taking over his entire body – was with the one and only girlfriend he had ever had when he was seventeen, back in Tenerife. She had been his only relationship, and it didn't last long enough to teach him much about love.
Therefore, now, as he stood in front of Gavi’s door, anxiously waiting for the younger boy to open it, Pedri didn’t know what to do.

Summary
Pedri was an expert on injuries – injury prone was the right way to describe it, even if he despised it. He knew how it felt the moment you hit the ground with pain and how every bad outcome clouded your brain, thinking that could be it, that could be the end of your career. It never was that bad though, he did have some consistent injuries, the quadricep one haunting him even in his nightmares, but at the end of the day, he was back on the field a couple of months later at max.
But this was different, they both knew that an ACL did not mean a couple of months out – it automatically meant, your season is over, go rest, goodbye for now, and see you hopefully in pre-season.
