    Yoshiki bites his lip. His heart is thundering in his chest, and his hands are curled into tight fists at his sides. He feels like he’s on the verge of combusting. Hikaru’s proximity is heady, addicting, and tempting in the worst possible way. His breaths are warm and steady against Yoshiki’s face, and his gaze is fixed inexorably on the focus of his obsessive desires: Yoshiki himself.

    “I like you, y’know,” says Hikaru. “I’ll say it as many times as I need to.”

    Yoshiki closes his eyes.

    “Yoshiki,” whispers Hikaru. “Can I?”
