Chloe is so focused on her irritation that she doesn’t notice it at first and assumes the flickers of warmth she feels is the temperature of the club. On stage, Lucifer is still smiling with every lyric he sings, never faltering, but she thinks his eyebrows furrow, just a little. He meets her gaze and there’s an intensity she isn’t used to seeing in him when he sings.
Soulmates are revealed by music. Any song could prove to a pair's soul-song. When Lucifer steps on stage in a club to prove to Chloe that she needs him, neither expects anything to happen. Until it does.
